Steps to Make Babycorn Chilli

Baby corn dishes are liked by everyone. Baby corn chilli is one of the famous indo-chinese snacks. You can have it either dry or with gravy. Here I am going to give you the easiest dry baby corn chilli recipe. But if you want to have it with gravy then just have to make gravy for it using sauces and diluted cornflour.

Baby Corn Chilli



Ready In:




  • 1 cup half sliced baby corns

  • 2 tbsp cornflour

  • 1 tbsp maida

  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste

  • 3 tbsp chopped garlic

  • 2-3 sliced green chilly

  • ½ tsp sesame seeds to sprinkle

  • Salt as per taste

  • 1 tbsp soya sauce

  • 1 tsp vinegar

  • 2-3 tbsp tomato sauce

  • Water as per required

  • Oil for frying and saute

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Take a bowl of hot water. Put sliced baby corn in it for a few minutes.

Step 2

Strain out baby corn. Put ginger garlic paste ,salt , maida and cornflour. Mix it properly so that baby corn is covered with it.

Step 3

Take a deep pan.Put oil in it for frying baby corn.

Step 4

Once oil is warm enough for frying , put baby corn in it and fry it till it turns light golden in colour. 

Step 5

Strain out the fried baby corns. Fry a second batch of baby corns and repeat the same process.

Step 6

Once all the baby corn is fried, refry them till it turns golden in colour.

Step 7

Take a pan. Put 2 tsp oil.

Step 8

Add chopped garlic and green chilly.

Step 9

Add tomato sauce , soya sauce and vinegar. Add salt as well.

Step 10

Saute it and then add fried baby corn. Mix it well and sprinkle sesame seeds on it.
