Steps to Make Fried Idli

Idli is one of the famous and likeable snacks of Southern India. But honestly saying it is liked by all Indian people rather than being specific as a south indian dish. Earlier we used to have idli only with sambar and chutney but nowadays there are several ways of having idli that too without sambar and chutney like idli chilli , fry idli and many more.

You can make idli batter with rice and urad dal or suji or oats as well. Making idli batter with rice-dal combination is a little bit time consuming as you need to leave rice and urad dal overnight in water. You will also get ready to make batter in the market as well.

I usually prefer making idli with suji as it is light and you just have to leave the batter for 15-20 min.

Honestly, there are many ways to make fried idli. But I like it in a simple way, not with many veggies. If you want you can add carrot, capsicum and corn to it. Also while making idli you can add veggies in it as well.
