Steps to Make Veg Cutlet…..

Veg Cutlet is one of the tastiest and easiest snack to be made which is liked by everyone especially by kids. To make it more healthy you can add many vegetables like carrots , peas , beans , sweet corn. 

You can serve it with tomato sauce or any chutney. You can use either suji/rawa or bread crumps as a coating to make it crispy. Also you can add cheese between the cutlet tikki.

Also you can add raisins or chopped cashews as well. For binding all the ingredients, you can either use besan ( gram flour ) or maida ( all purpose flour ). 

Your veg cutlet will be more healthier if you have airfryer as very less amount of oil will be needed for it.

Ingredients

  • 5-6 boiled potatoes

  • 2-3 finely chopped green chilly

  • 1 cup chopped onion

  • ¼ tsp ginger garlic paste

  • ¼ cup grinded peanuts

  • ½ cup finely chopped carrot

  • ¼ cup boiled and drained out peas

  • ¼ cup chopped coriander

  • ½ tsp red chilli powder

  • ¼ tsp coriander powder

  • ¼ tsp cumin powder

  • ¼ tsp garam masala

  • ¼ tsp dry mango powder

  • 1-2 tbsp besan

  • ¼ cup bread crumbs or suji for outer coating

  • Oil for frying

  • Salt as per taste

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Take a bowl. Add boiled mashed potatoes , green chilly , onion , ginger garlic paste , peanuts , carrot , peas.

Step 2

Mix it properly. Add salt , red chilli powder , coriander powder , garam masala , cumin powder , dry mango powder and besan. Add chopped coriander.

Step 3

Mix it properly so all the spices and ingredients combine properly.

Step 4

Take a small part of the mixture. Either make a flat patty or tikki or make a not much thick cylindrical shape. If your tikki is breaking or you are not able to make it properly ,add a little bit of besan to it . Mix it and then try to make tikki of it.

Step 5

Put bread crumbs or suji on a plate.

Step 6

Once a flat patty or tikki or make a not much thick cylindrical shape is made , roll it on bread crumb or suji.

Step 7

Take a deep pan . Put oil in to it. Heat it properly.

Step 8

Once oil is heated up , put veg cutlets in to it. Keep frying it till it reaches the golden brown colour.

Step 9

Serve it with sauce or chutney. Also if you want, you can sprinkle some chat masala on it.
