Steps to Make Tandoori Chicken
Tandoori Chicken is one of the famous mughlai chicken snacks which is liked by everyone. It is soft , juicy and spicy chicken.
You can also make tandoori chicken in barbeque as well.
- Chicken pieces should be cleaned properly and dried as well so that no dripping water will be left. Also put slits on the chicken pieces so that marination gets into it properly.
- Also after grilling a little bit in the grilling pan , you can roast it directly on a simmer flame for a few minutes. It will give you a little bit burnt and smokey taste as well.
½ cup yogurt/hung curd
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
2 tsp lemon juice
Salt as per taste
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp dried fenugreek leaves
1 tbsp mustard oil
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp pepper powder
4-5 large chicken pieces
Oil for frying
Charcoal pieces for smoky flavour
Step by Step Instructions
Take a bowl. Put yogurt,ginger-garlic paste,salt,red chilli powder,turmeric powder,dried fenugreek leaves and salt.
Mix it well and then add garam masala , coriander powder ,pepper powder and mustard oil.
Mix it again and put cleaned dried and slitted chicken pieces.
Cover the chicken pieces well with prepared marination. Also put the prepared marination in the slitted parts as well.
Cover the bowl and put it in the freezer for at least 5-6 hours.
After taking out of the freezer , mix it again.
Put a grilling pan.Grease oil on it.
Put marinated chicken pieces on it. Let it cook in medium flame.
Flip it once it is cooked properly.
Once it is grilled properly then put a small bowl with a piece of burning charcoal in it.And cover the lid.
After removing the lid, chicken pieces will be full of smokey flavour.
