Steps to Make Samosa….
Samosa is very famous in India. It’s a pocket friendly snack which your taste buds will love.
Its one of the cheapest snack which you can get at any corner of your street or locality. Samosa’s can be made with different fillings but the most common and liked by everyone is boiled potato filling.

Ingredients
- 1 tsp cumin seeds/jeera
- 1 tbsp oil
- 4 medium size potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed
- 1/2 cup boiled green peas
- salt – to taste
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped coriander leaves
- half lemon – juice extracted
- very finely chopped green chillies optional
- 2 cups maida/all purpose flour
- 2 tbsp ghee/clarified butter
- 1 tsp ajwain/carom seeds
- Salt – to taste
- Water to knead the dough
- Oil for deep frying
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Add maida in a bowl.Add salt , ajwain , ghee in to it. Mix well with maida.
Step 2
Add water gradually and knead to form smooth and soft dough for samosa. Cover it and keep the dough aside for 20 min.
Step 3
Now take a pan , add 1 tbsp of oil . Heat it.
Step 4
Add jeera. Add mashed potato , boiled peas , salt , red chilly powder , turmeric powder. Saute for 2-3 minutes.
Step 5
Add lemon juice all over the filling and add some freshly chopped coriander leaves.
Step 6
Mix the stuffing properly.Now make a small round ball of dough.
Step 7
Sprinkle some maida on rolling pin and flatten the dough like a roti. Cut it into 2 halves.
Step 8
Take each half , apply water on the edges.Make a cone shape , put the stuffing which we prepared earlier.Seal it properly.
Step 9
Heat oil in a deep pan. Put the samosas in it once the oil is heated up.Put the flames low and deep fry it till they turn golden in colour. Take them out on a tissue paper so that it can soak the extra oil.
Step 10
Serve it with chutney or ketchup
