Steps to Make Palak Paneer Recipe…
Either it is paneer butter masala or chicken butter masala, it is everyone’s favorite. Whenever I try to make any paneer sabzi, my husband asks me to make something different every time. And during this lockdown, it’s very difficult, every time they want something new from the kitchen as we can’t order anything from outside. Also sometimes, few of the items are not available in the market as well.
So this time, I thought of making Paneer Butter Masala as it takes less time as well and it tastes so good.
So here is my lockdown recipe on how to make paneer butter masala.
Note: If you have kept paneer in the fridge and it becomes quite hard then you can put it in hot water or just microwave it for 20-30 sec. It will become super soft, just will melt in your mouth. Also if you want super soft paneer pieces in your dish, just keep it in hot water for a few mins.
1 cup paneer
1.5 cup sliced onion
1 cup chopped tomato
6-7 cloves of garlic
½ inch of ginger
2-3 green chili
1-inch cinnamon stick
2 bay leaf
½ tsp black pepper
2-3 tbsp oil
2-3 tbsp butter
¼ cup cream
Salt as per taste
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp garam masala
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Step by Step Instructions
Take a pan, put 1 tsp oil. Put cinnamon stick, bay leaf, and black pepper. Saute it for 2-4 sec.
Put onion, tomato, garlic, ginger and green chili. Saute it for 4-5 min.
Once it cools down, grind it properly and then take out the paste through a sieve.
Grind cashews separately and properly.
Take another pan. Put oil and then the onion-tomato paste that you have prepared.
Add salt, red chili powder and garam masala.
Add cashew paste and cream. Mix it well.
Let it cook for 5-10 min. If the consistency is too thick then you can add a little bit of water and let it cook for a few mins.
Add paneer cubes to it. Cover it with lid for 2-3 min and garnish it with coriander leaves.
